Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 2011476 Size: SH
  1. Remove the propeller shaft assembly. Refer to Propeller Shaft Replacement.
  2. Using a suitable puller (1), remove the transfer case rear oil seal from the transfer extension housing sub-assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2011479 Size: SH
  1. Using a suitable installer (1), install a new transfer case rear oil seal into the transfer extension housing sub-assembly to the position shown.

    2. Specification
    Drive in depth: 1.1-1.9 mm (0.0433-0.0748 in)

  2. Apply a small amount of MP grease to the lip of the oil seal.
  3. Install the propeller shaft assembly. Refer to Propeller Shaft Replacement.
  4. Inspect and adjust transfer case fluid.
