Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 2015189  Size: SH
  1. Discharge and recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
  2. Remove the evaporator inlet and outlet hoses from the evaporator tube assembly.
  3. Remove the grommet and insulator.
  4. Remove the two bolts (2) and expansion valve (1) from the evaporator.
  5. Remove and discard the O-rings.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 2015189  Size: SH
  1. Install new O-rings coated with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil to the evaporator and expansion valve.
  2. Install the expansion valve (1) and evaporator tube assembly to the evaporator.
  3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the two bolts (2) to the expansion valve.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts (2) to 3.5 N·m (31 lb in).

  6. Install the evaporator inlet and outlet hoses.
  7. Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
  8. Operate the A/C system. Inspect for refrigerant leaks. Refer to Leak Testing.
