Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front fascia assembly. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement.
  2. Discharge and recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
  3. Remove the upper tie bar. Refer to Upper Tie Bar Replacement.

  4. Object Number: 2015605  Size: SH

    Note: Cap the open fittings in order to prevent dirt and moisture from entering the refrigeration system.

  5. Remove the bolt (1) and the condenser outlet tube (2).
  6. Remove the O-ring from the outlet tube.

  8. Remove the bolt (1) and the condenser inlet tube (2).
  9. Remove the O-ring from the inlet tube.

  11. Lift up and remove the condenser with receiver as an assembly.

  13. Remove the four condenser mounting cushions, if necessary.
  14. Remove the receiver dehydrator, if necessary. Refer to Receiver Dehydrator Replacement.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 2015608  Size: SH
  1. Install the receiver dehydrator, if removed. Refer to Receiver Dehydrator Replacement.
  2. Install the four condenser mounting cushions, if removed.
  3. Note: When installing a new condenser, add 40 ml (1.4 fl oz) of refrigerant oil to the refrigeration system.

  4. Install the condenser to the vehicle.
  5. Install new O-rings to the condenser inlet tube lubricated with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
  6. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  7. Install the bolt (1) to the condenser inlet tube (2).
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt (1) to 5.4 N·m (48 lb in).

  9. Install new O-rings to the condenser outlet tube lubricated with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.

  10. Object Number: 2015605  Size: SH
  11. Install the bolt (1) and the condenser outlet tube (2).
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt (1) to 5.4 N·m (48 lb in).

  13. Install the upper tie bar. Refer to Upper Tie Bar Replacement.
  14. Install the front fascia assembly. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement.
  15. Evacuate and recharge the air conditioning system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
  16. Operate the A/C system and test for refrigerant leaks. Refer to Leak Testing.
