The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Customers may complain of running rough, no power, SES light on and or hesitation that can be intermittent in nature.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The engine wiring harness can contact the UHJB at the rear of fuse block towards the center of the engine. Technicians should repair wires and either tie strap harness away form UHJB or reroute harness. Technicians should also verify integrity of the harness at the ECM connector by tugging or wiggling the connector to check for loose pins in the connector. Replace loose pins as necessary and if no pins are loose then replace connector using part # 88953274.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
