This PI was created to mention updated calibrations released on TIS version 6.5 to address this concern. Please disregard PIP3729.
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
On rare occasions, a SES light may be experienced due to a P0326 DTC and no engine performance concerns.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If this concern is encountered, reprogram the ECM with the latest calibration found on TIS version 6.5, which was broadcast to dealers on June 12, 2006. The updated calibration is titled "New calibration with diagnostic enhancements for DTCs P0171 AND P0326". This calibration, or any that follow, is designed to address this concern. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) in SI for reprogramming procedures. As always, make sure your Tech 2® is updated with the latest software version.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
