Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose Replacement L81

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 894135  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  2. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  3. Remove the coolant air bleed hose clamp from the surge tank.
  4. Remove the hose from the surge tank.

  6. Remove the hose from the underhood fuse block (UHFB) clamps.

  7. Object Number: 894608  Size: SH
  8. Remove the hose from the harness clamp.
  9. Remove the wiring harness from the clamp.
  10. Remove the bolt which secures the wiring harness bracket to the intake manifold.
  11. Disconnect the fuel injector inline connector.
  12. Remove the clamp which secures the coolant air bleed hose to the coolant air bleed pipe.
  13. Remove the hose.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 894608  Size: SH
  1. Install and position the coolant air bleed hose to the cylinder head pipe.

  2. Object Number: 894135  Size: SH
  3. Install and position the hose to the surge tank fitting.
  4. Install the clamp which secures the hose to the surge tank at the 1 o'clock position.

  5. Install the hose to the cylinder head pipe.
  6. Install the clamp which secures the hose to the cylinder head pipe to the 2 o'clock position.

  7. Object Number: 893968  Size: SH
  8. Install the clamps which secure the hose into the underhood fuse block (UHFB).
  9. Connect the fuel injector inline connector.
  10. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  11. Install the bolt which secures the wiring harness bracket to the intake manifold.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  13. Install the wiring harness into the harness clamp.
  14. Install the coolant air bleed hose into the clamp.
  15. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  16. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
