Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 892166 Size: SH
  1. Open the rear compartment lid or lift gate.
  2. Remove the push-in retainers from the rear bumper extension.

    3. Object Number: 877936 Size: SH
  3. On the wagon models, remove the push-in retainers from the fascia next to the tail lamp.

    4. Object Number: 886722 Size: SH
  4. Remove the push-in retainers from the rear wheelhouse panel to the fascia.
  5. Remove the bolts from the rear wheelhouse panel to the fascia.
  6. Remove the rear bumper fascia by sliding rearward.
  7. If a new fascia is being installed, remove the rear bumper support. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Outer Support Replacement .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 886722 Size: SH
  1. If a new fascia is being installed, install the rear bumper support. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Outer Support Replacement .
  2. Position the rear bumper fascia over the rear bumper impact bar.

    3. Engage the fascia ends key slots over the stubs extending down from the quarter panel.

    Push the fascia forward to lock to the quarter panels.

  3. Install the push-in retainers to the rear bumper extension.

    4. Object Number: 877936 Size: SH
  4. On the wagon models, install the push-in retainers to the fascia next to the tail lamp.

    5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Install the bolts to the rear wheelhouse panel to the fascia.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Install the push-in retainers to the rear wheelhouse panel to the fascia.
  7. Close the rear compartment lid or lift gate.
