Makes 🢒 Saturn 🢒 1998 🢒 SL1/SC1/SW1 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Cooling 🢒 Cooling System Leak Testing

    Caution: Do not remove the cap from a hot system. Allow the system to cool, then slowly remove the cap.

  1. Remove the cap from the coolant surge tank.
  2. Make sure that all the parts of the cap, tester, and adapter are clean.
  3. Install the surge SA9141E Coolant Tester Adapter to the coolant surge tank.
  4. Pump the tester until the gage needle reaches 103 kPa (15 psi).

    5. Caution: Protect yourself by wearing safety glasses, earplugs, a respirator, gloves, and safety shoes while performing work on the vehicle.

    Caution: Never pump the pressure cap above 103.4 kPa (20 psi).

  5. Watch to see if needle falls. Inspect all hoses for excessive swelling. Check all joints for leaks.
