Removal Procedure
- Remove the PCM. Refer to
Powertrain Control Module Replacement
.
- Loosen the ABS control module attachment nut at cross car beam and lift
ABS control module upward (towards windshield) to disengage. ABS control module from
ABS/PCM bracket.
- Remove nuts holding ABS/PCM bracket to steering column support bracket.
- Remove ABS/PCM bracket.
Installation Procedure
- Install ABS/PCM bracket stud through hole in
steering column support bracket.
- Install and torque nut.
Tighten
Tighten nut to: 6 N·m (54 lb in)
- Lower ABS control module into ABS/PCM bracket while guiding attachement
sutd into slot in cross car beam.
Notice: Torque is critical to preserve the integrity of the plastic insulator on the
PCM case. Damage to the PCM can result from over torque of the nut.
- Install and tighten nut.
Tighten
Tighten nut to: 10 N·m (89 lb in)
- Install PCM. Refer to
