Removal Procedure
- Remove mirror face
from the mirror by placing tape over mirror face, then breaking mirror face by striking
carefully with a small hammer.
- Remove all pieces of glass from mirror frame.
- Mark location of 2-sided tape on mirror back plate.
- Clean adhesive from mirror back plate.
Installation Procedure
- Apply clear silicone adhesive into "bull's-eye" areas of mirror back plate.
Cover each bull's-eye completely with a 1 mm (0.04 in.) thickness of
3M® Clear Silicone adhesive 08661 or equivalent.
- Install mirror face to mirror frame by applying double-sided tape to marked
areas of mirror back plate using double-sided 3M® Scotch Mount tape 06383 or equivalent.
- Center mirror in mirror frame and press firmly to ensure adhesion of the
mirror face to the mirror frame.

Removal Procedure
Caution: Always wear heavy gloves and safety glasses when handling glass to minimize
the risk of injury.
- Grasp inboard and outboard edges of mirror with fingers.
- Carefully pull rearward to disengage attaching tabs on glass assembly
from housing. Housing is the same for manual and power.
Installation Procedure
- Position new mirror glass assembly to housing making sure that alignment
tabs A and B are properly aligned.
- Snap new mirror glass assembly onto housing.
