CONVCE Fuse
Location: Underhood junction block
Type: 30A Maxifuse
Feeds: Circuit 302
If the following system is operating normally, the fuse is most likely good:
• | Power windows |
• | Power sunroof |
If the fuse is blown, determine the cause of the blown fuse and repair.
Replace the fuse as needed.
IGN3 Fuse
Location: Instrument Panel Junction Block
Type: 10A Minifuse
Feeds: Window relay, RR defog relay
If the following system is operating normally, the fuse is most likely good:
Systems fed by fuse:
• | A/C |
• | DRL |
• | Generator |
• | Power windows |
If the fuse is blown, determine the cause of the blown fuse and repair.
Replace the fuse as needed.
I/P Splice Pack #1
Location: Taped to harness behind I/P cluster
The systems grounded by I/P Splice Pack #1 are grounded redundantly with I/P Splice Pack #2 at ground point location D (I/P chassis ground). If one of the following systems is operating normally the ground circuit is most likely good.
• | I/P dimmer |
• | Cruise control |
• | Headlamp switch |
• | Cigar lighter element |
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Repair as needed.
Window Relay
The window, RR Defog, fog lamp and A/C relays are interchangeable with each other.
Substitute another relay to see if the problem is fixed.
Repair/replace as needed.
Four Door Window Switches
Check the connections and terminals for tightness or damage.
Operate each switch in UP and DOWN positions and measure for voltage/ground at each motor pair of pins.
The express down circuitry is in the driver's window switch only. The driver's window should go all the way down when the switch is pressed momentarily to the down position. The window should stop if the driver's window switch is pulled in the up position during an express down operation.
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
Repair as needed.
