Removal Procedure
- Remove lower trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
- Remove lower (3) fasteners of exterior panel.
- Remove push pins along top and rear of secondary door seal.
- Pull seal away from front upper corner.
- Remove seal from front edge of door by starting at the front upper corner.
- Remove push pin from lower front corner of door.
- Remove seal from lower front corner of door.
- Remove push pins at bottom of door and remove seal. Gently flex the exterior panel to gain access to the lower door latch area. Remove secondary seal.
Installation Procedure
- Hang seal on door by attaching upper seal push pins.
- Install front upper molded corner to upper latch area. Open up the molded corner to fit securely over the flange. Work the loose portion of the upper molded corner into the latch area.
- Install seal on front edge flange.
- Install seal on lower front corner.
- Install lower front corner push pin.
- Install seal on lower latch area and bottom of door. Gently flex the exterior panel to gain access to the lower door latch area.
- Install lower seal push pins and remaining rear seal push pins.
- Install lower fasteners of exterior panel. Tighten as follows:
- Install lower trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
| • | Tighten the rear door outer panel lower front fasteners (Coupe) to 9 N·m (80 lb in). |
| • | Tighten the center and rear door outer panel lower fasteners to 6 N·m (53 lb in). |
