Tools Required to Perform Line Pressure Procedure to MJ7/MJ8 Automatic Transaxle - kw A/T L66 5AT adapter gauge

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

Tools required to perform line pressure procedure to MJ7/MJ8 automatic transaxle.

Refer to Kent-Moore (SPX) revised kit release (523742-Rev A) to obtain the correct adaptor to make the physical connection to the MJ7/MJ8 transaxle.

Tools needed:

J 45542-1 Banjo Fitting

J 45542-4 Screw (features an M8 X 1.25 thread) for attachment to the pressure test port of the MJ7/MJ8 automatic transaxles.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
