Subject: Driver's Power Seat is Inoperative Fuse 38 Open

Models:2008 Saturn Vue


The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

The driver's power seat is inoperative. The 20 amp Power Seat fuse 38 in the IP fuse block is open.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Inspect the driver's power seat switch harness for chafing at the left outer seat frame harness pass thru. Repair the damaged circuits and insulate the harness. It will also be necessary to insulate the seat frame harness pass thru with foam tape to prevent any further chafing.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
