4	Disconnect the liftgate lock actuator/ajar switch harness connector. With a scan tool, observe the liftgate ajar switch parameter in the Body Control Module data list. Does the scan tool display Low?	Go to Step 5	Go to Step 7
5	Test the rear compartment lid ajar switch circuit for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 12	Go to Step 8
6	Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the instrument panel cluster. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 12	Go to Step 9
