If this light comes on, it means that service is required for your vehicle. See Part A: Scheduled Maintenance Services and Engine Oil for more information.

After having the oil changed you will need to reset the light. See Engine Oil for more information.

The system doesn't check how much oil you have, so you'll still have to check for that. Always keep a written record of the mileage and date when you changed your oil.
