The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

The 2005-2006 Buick LaCrosse / Allure uses the keys for some personalization features.

THE FOLLOWING FEATURES ARE PERSONALIZED TO THE KEY FOB:

Remote keyless entry unlock preferences (fob unlock on 1st press, either driver door or all doors)

THE FOLLOWING FEATURES ARE PERSONALIZED TO THE KEY:

1. Radio stations presets
2. Auto door lock preferences
3. Auto door unlock preferences

THE FOLLOWING FEATURES ARE PERSONALIZED TO THE VEHICLE:

1. Exterior lighting delay
2. Interior lighting delay
3. Delayed locking
4. Content theft
5. Remote keyless entry feedback (Locking or unlocking)
6. Remote start (If equipped)

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
