Washer Fluid Does Not Clean/Spray Does Not Reach Top of Windshield on Passenger Side and Driver Side (Verify Washer Hose Routing and/or Replace Windshield Washer Line/Hose)

This bulletin is being revised to add the 2007 model years and update the information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 07-08-43-005 (Section 08-Body and Accessories).

Some customers may comment that the washer fluid does not spray or clean to the top of the passenger and driver side of the windshield when activated.

This condition may be caused by one or more of the following :

This condition may be caused by the Y-fitting in the washer line being misrouted and installed toward the passenger side.

This condition may be caused by the driver side washer hose being pinched or misrouted.

Verify the windshield washer hose routing and replace the windshield washer line/hose. Refer to Windshield Washer Hose Replacement in SI.

If the driver side hose is pinched, remove the washer hose from the washer line at the air inlet grille panel and cut 10 mm (3/8 in) from the driver side washer hose . Pull on the existing washer hose and reroute the washer hose upward in a loop as shown in the graphic above. Then attach the washer hose to the washer line at the air inlet grille panel.

Verify that the condition has been corrected.
