Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure

    Object Number: 1531038 Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel injector rail.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the fuel injector rail bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel injector rail bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the fuel injector wiring harness connector.

Upper Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure

    Object Number: 1531033 Size: SH
  1. Install the intake manifold opening cover.
  2. Install the intake manifold opening cover bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the intake manifold opening cover bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).


    Object Number: 1408451 Size: SH
  3. Install the barometric pressure (BARO) sensor.
  4. Install the BARO sensor bolt.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the BARO sensor bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).


    Object Number: 1408449 Size: SH
  5. Install the NEW throttle body gasket.
  6. Install the throttle body.
  7. Install the throttle body bolts.

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the throttle body bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  8. Install the fuel rail support bracket.
  9. Install the fuel rail support bracket bolt.

    10. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel rail support bracket bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

Upper to Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure

    Object Number: 1531028 Size: SH

    Important: Do not reuse the upper-to-lower intake manifold gasket and the intake manifold-to-cylinder head sealing gaskets.

  1. Install the NEW upper-to-lower intake manifold gaskets.

    2. Object Number: 1531026 Size: SH
  2. Install the upper intake manifold to the lower intake manifold.

    3. Object Number: 1531023 Size: SH
  3. Install the fuel injector wiring harness bracket bolts to the upper intake manifold.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel injector wiring harness bracket bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).


    Object Number: 1531021 Size: SH
  4. Install the fuel rail feed hose bracket bolt to the upper intake manifold.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel rail feed hose bracket bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).


    Object Number: 1531017 Size: SH
  5. Install the upper-to-lower intake manifold bolts.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the upper-to-lower intake manifold bolts to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).
