Hold the mirror in the center to move it for a clearer view behind the vehicle. Adjust the mirror to avoid glare from the headlamps behind you. Push the tab forward for daytime use and pull it for nighttime use.

If the vehicle has OnStar®, the mirror has a day/night control located at the bottom. Turn the control to the right for the night position. Turn the control to the front for the day position.
