Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement. Buick Allure 2009

Caution: Refer to Paint Damage Caution in the Preface section.

Apply masking tape to the door frame and applique.
Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.
Lower the window to the full down position.

Note: Lift upward on the sealing strip at the front edge of the rear door stationary window to prevent damage to the sealing strip.

Release the outer belt sealing strip clip, by inserting a suitable flat-bladed tool to the rear edge and lift upward.
Remove the outer belt sealing strip from the door.

Insert the retaining clip for the outer belt sealing strip into the rear hole of the door and push down firmly to lock in place.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

Remove the masking tape.
Inspect the window for proper operation.
Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.
