Makes 🢒 Buick 🢒 2009 🢒 Allure 🢒 Seats 🢒 Seat Hardware, Trim, and Upholstery 🢒 Front Seat Adjuster Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front seat from the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket.
  2. Remove the front seat trim panel. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 802619 Size: SH

    Note: The bracket is NOT included with a seat adjuster. Reinstall the existing bracket.

  3. Remove the seat belt bracket (2) on the door side of the seat.
  4. Remove the seat belt pretensioner. Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Pretensioner Replacement.

  5. Remove the seat trim and the pad. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Replacement.
  6. Remove the 4 seat frame bolts.
  7. Remove the seat frame.

  8. Remove the 2 adjuster cover plates.

    9. Object Number: 865006 Size: SH
  9. Remove the seat back frame bolts.
  10. Remove the seat back from the adjuster.

    11. Object Number: 310454 Size: SH
  11. Remove the adjuster from the seat cushion frame.
  12. Remove the adjuster crosswire and assist springs.
  13. Remove the crossbrace bolts in order to separate the left and the right adjusters.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 310454 Size: SH
  1. Install a crossbrace to the left and the right adjusters.
  2. Ensure that the tab bending downward at the center of the crossbrace faces the rear of the adjusters.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Secure the crossbrace with two bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the crossbrace bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  4. Install the crosswire and assist springs.

    5. Important: Install the right and left seat adjuster sliding mechanism in the same position that the mechanism had when you attached the adjuster-to-seat bottom frame.

    Install the adjuster assembly to the floorpan attachments before you attach the adjusters to the seat. Use the floorpan as a guide during assembly in order to ensure correct adjuster alignment. The floorpan will act as an assembly fixture.

  5. Install the adjuster assembly to the floorpan.
  6. Install the bolts which secure the seat adjuster to the floorpan.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  7. Install the 2 adjuster cover plates.

    8. Object Number: 865020 Size: SH
  8. Position the seat frame on the adjuster.
  9. Install the 4 bolts which secure the seat frame to the adjuster.

    10. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  10. Install the seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Replacement.

    11. Object Number: 802619 Size: SH
  11. Install the seat belt bracket (2).
  12. Install the seat belt pretensioner. Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Pretensioner Replacement.
  13. Install the front seat trim panel. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement.
  14. Install the front seat in the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket.
