WE HAVE RECEIVED REPORTS OF RADIO STATIC ON CARS EQUIPPED WITH DIESEL ENGINES. THIS CONDITION MAY BE CAUSED BY SEVERAL COMPONENTS. BY FOLLOWING THE CHART BELOW THESE CORRECTIONS SHOULD ELIMINATE MOST CONDITIONS. 1.FROM GREEN LEAD ON VRV SWITCH TO GROUND. 2.FROM PURPLE OR BLUE LEAD ON VRV SWITCH TO GROUND. 3.FROM BLACK LEAD AT TRANSMISSION WEATHER PAC CONNECTOR TO TRANS. HOUSING GROUND. TRY CORRECTION FOR VRV 1 AT A TIME, YOU MAY NOT NEED TO INSTALL ALL 3 CAPACITORS. CONDITION SINGLE POP ON ACCEL. CAUSE EXHAUST PRESSURE REG. SOLENOID EPR CORRECTION INSTALL DIODE ACROSS SOLENOID. CONDITION BUZZING NOISE AS CAR ACCEL. CAUSE TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SWITCH TCC CORRECTION INSTALL A 0.5 MFD CAPACITOR ON TCC LEAD AT FUSE BLOCK CONDITION RANDOM POPING WHILE ACCEL. SLOWLY OR MAINTAINING CONSTANT SPEED. CAUSE VACUUM REG. VALVE CORRECTION INSTALL 1.5 MICROFARAD ALTERNATOR CAPACITORS, PLACED AS NOTED IN STEPS 1 THRU 3. CONDITION FRYING NOISE AT HEAVY THROTTLE CAUSE VACUUM REG VALVE CORRECTION INSTALL 1.5 MICROFARAD ALTERNATOR CAPACITORS, PLACED AS NOTED IN STEPS 1 THRU 3.
