DIESEL: DRIVE BELT ALIGNMENT CHECK SUPPORT BRACKET

MODELS AFFECTED: 1983 CENTURYS EQUIPPED WITH 4.3L V-6 (VIN T) DIESEL ENGINE

Improper alignment of the serpentine drive on a V-6 diesel engine (VIN code T) my be caused by an incorrectly aligned drive belt tensioner. If this condition is encountered, examine the area where the lug on the support bracket engages the tensioner. If this area is deformed, it may be due to the lug being off location in the support. To correct, replace the support bracket.
