The custom locking wire wheel cover package (Option N91) is shipped in the trunk compartment. This package contains the locking wire wheel covers, medallions, lock key wrench and I.D./Registration Card, lock brackets, lock bolts/nuts, and anti-rotation clips on Electras. At the time of delivery of a new vehicle by the carrier, the contents of the package containing Option N91 are to be inspected for missing or incorrect parts. The special wheel lug nuts (3 per wheel) to hold the lock bracket on the wheel are factory installed on the wheels. Any discrepancies are to be noted on the delivery receipt and a transportation claim is to be filed for any missing or incorrect parts.
Lock key wrenches and/or I.D. /Registration Cards are available from NI Industries.
A. Lock key wrench missing upon delivery of vehicle from factory or lost after deliver:
Send I.D./Registration Card, along with a check in the amount of $7.50 made payable to NI Industries.
B. I.D./Registration Card missing:
Provide NI Industries with the lock bolt/nut color. A new color coordinated I.D./Registration Card will be forwarded to the dealership. A secondary identification method on the Electra, is the color coded lock key wrench cap; and a two letter color code on the lock key wrench (BK = black, etc. ) . Other series use a single code letter on the lock key wrench and color code on the lock bolt.
C. Lock key wrench does not fit lock bolt/nut.
Send lock key wrench and I.D./Registration Card to NI Industries with a letter indicating the color of the lock bolt/nut in the center of the locking wire wheel cover. The proper lock key wrench and I.D./Registration Card will be returned to the dealership.
D. I.D./Registration Card and "T" shaped lock key wrench both missing"
Provide the color of the lock bolt/nut in the center of the wire wheel cover, along with a check in the amount of $7.50 made payable to NI Industries.

In addition to individual components, a complete lock wire wheel package (Option N91) is available through GMWDD for the 1985 models. Parts numbers for these packages are as follows:

When the vehicles is being made ready for dealivery, the lock brackets are to be installed prior to installation of the wire wheel cover and medallions.
1. Raise vehicle with lift equipment.
2. Remove three (3) special lug nuts from each wheel for lock bracket installation - refer to illustrations.
3. Place lock bracket on lug nut studs.
4. Reinstall three (3) special lug nuts on each wheel to retain lock bracket and torque to specifications. LOOSE CONDITION OF LOCK BRACKET MAY BE NORMAL. WHEN LUG NUTS ARE SEATED, FRONT WHEEL STUDS WILL HAVE A RECESSED APPEARANCE, WHICH IS NORMAL.
5. Install adapter or anti-rotation clips if required.
6. Install wheel cover on wheel.
7. Tigliten lock bolt/nut with lock key wrench.
8. Install center medallion.
9. Install removal instruction label as required.
10. The lock key wrench is to be placed in the glove box along with the I.D./Registration Card.
