HOOD RELEASE CABLE

MODELS AFFECTED: PAST MODEL AND 1986 CENTURYS BELOW THE FOLLOWING VINS: --------------- OKLAHOMA CITY G6477325 DORAVILLE GD483022 TARRYTOWN GT487760

A new hood release cable (Part Number 10051003) is now being used on late model 1986 Centurys produced after the above VIN's. The new cable has a mechanical advantage and reduces efforts required to unlatch the hood.

On Centurys produced prior to the above VIN's, the hood release cable should be replaced with the new cable, if customer comments of high efforts to release hood latches cannot be resolved with proper alignments and/or lubrication, as outlined in Dealer Service Bulletin 86-2-2.
