NEW DESIGN LO / REVERSE PIPE, SEAL AND COMPONENTS

MODELS AFFECTED: 1987 CENTURYS AND SKYHAWKS

A new design lo-reverse pipe seal was temporarily implemented on all Windsor built 125C transaxles. This build started on January 12, 1987 (Julian date 017) and ended on April 6, 1987 (Julian date 096) (Figure 1). The lo-reverse pipe seal and associated components are referred to in the parts list as second design. Production after April 6, 1987, reverted to the first design. The second design lo-reverse seal change includes the following new design components.

- Case with machined boss. - Retainer (bracket) to hold seal into case and bolt. - Seal assembly (existing "O" ring and steel backing plate are utilized). - Reverse oil pipe.

To service the new design pipe seal and related components, order the following (Figure 2):

To service a new design case (with machined boss) for any reason, order a first design case (Part Number 8653918) and first design lo-reverse pipe seal and components (refer to parts catalog for first design part numbers).
