A new design auxiliary valve body has a new filter in the TCC feed passage. The new auxiliary valve body filter will reduce the potential of TCC solenoid sticking and the resulting condition of the engine stalling while shifting into Reverse or Drive.

When servicing any 1988 THM 125C transaxle with these parts refer to the 1988 THM 125C (MD9) Automatic Transaxle Unit Repair Section in your service manual.
SERVICE NOTES: (Figures 2 and 3) ------------- The new auxiliary valve body is not interchangeable with models built prior to Julian Date 068, March 9, 1987. The past designed auxiliary valve bodies are not machined to allow for installation of new filter. The auxiliary valve gasket part no. 8660789 is interchangeable with 1987 and 1988 THM 125C transaxles only. Gasket 8664847 can only be used on 1988 KDC models.
