Bulletin Covers:(Figure 1) -------------------------- A fluid leak near the governor area on a 1989 A, C, E, H, K or W car equipped with a THM 440-T4/HYDRA-MATIC 4T60 may be caused by porosity allowing fluid to seep out of the case.
SERVICE PROCEDURE: (Figure 2) ----------------------------- If the transaxle has a leak near the governor area, inspect the case die number as shown in Figure 2. If the die number is 567 and the VIN is within the following breakpoints listed under "Vehicles Involved", then replace the transaxle case.
