DURING PERIODS OF INCREASED TENSIONER ARM MOVEMENT, THE TENSIONER SPRING COILS CONTACT THE SPRING GUIDES INSIDE THE HOUSING CAUSING THE KNOCKING NOISE.
A NEW ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT TENSIONER, PART NUMBER 24504828, HAS BEEN DEVELOPED TO CORRECT THE NOISE ISSUES. REFER TO SECTION 6A5 OF THE APPROPRIATE VEHICLE SERVICE MANUAL FOR PROPER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION PROCEDURES.
