NOISES (SQUEAKS,POPS) COMING FROM INSTRUMENT PANEL

SUBJECT: NOISES (SQUEAKS, RUBS, POPS, ETC.) THAT APPEAR TO BE COMING FROM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL (BEND REAR HOOD FLANGE)

MODELS: 1994-95 BUICK CENTURY

CONDITION:

NOISES THAT APPEAR TO BE COMING FROM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL, BUT ARE DIFFICULT TO LOCATE.

CAUSE:

THIS MAY BE DUE TO THE REAR FLANGE ON THE HOOD COMING IN CONTACT WITH THE MOUNTING FLANGE FOR THE HOOD HINGE ASSEMBLY.

CORRECTION:

1. RAISE THE HOOD AND INSPECT THE REAR FLANGE FOR CONTACT MARKS IN THE AREA OF THE HOOD HINGE.

2. BEND THE REAR HOOD FLANGE FORWARD IN THE AREA OF THE HOOD HINGE MOUNTING FLANGE.

3. RETEST TO ENSURE A SATISFACTORY REPAIR.
