Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the injector sight shield.

  2. Object Number: 155470  Size: SH
  3. Remove the Manifold vacuum lines to throttle body and fuel pressure regulator.

  4. Object Number: 155466  Size: SH
  5. Remove the IAC sensor electrical connector.

  6. Object Number: 155464  Size: SH
  7. Remove the MAF sensor electrical connector.

  8. Object Number: 55618  Size: SH
  9. Remove the TP sensor electrical connector.
  10. Remove the two TP sensor attaching screws.
  11. Remove the TP sensor (3).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 55618  Size: SH
  1. Install the TP sensor (3) to the throttle body assembly.
  2. Install the two TP sensor attaching screws, using a thread-locking compound on the screws. Loctite 262® , GM Part No. 1052624, or equivalent should be used.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the TP sensor attaching screws to 2.0 N·m (18 in lb)

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the TP sensor electrical connector.

  8. Install the IAC sensor electrical connector.

  10. Install the manifold vacuum lines to throttle body and fuel pressure regulator.

  12. Install the injector sight sheild.
