Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Replacement VIN K Only

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 65739  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the spare tire cover, the jack, and the spare tire. Refer to Body Rear End Section.
  3. Remove the trunk liner. Refer to Body Rear End Section.
  4. Remove the (7) nuts retaining the fuel sender access panel.
  5. Remove the fuel sender access panel.

  7. Remove the electrical connector from the fuel tank vapor pressure sensor.
  8. Remove the fuel tank vapor pressure sensor (7) from modular fuel sender assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 50636  Size: SH
  1. Install the new fuel tank vapor pressure sensor (7) to modular fuel sender.
  2. Install the electrical connector to fuel tank vapor pressure sensor

  3. Object Number: 65739  Size: SH
  4. Install the fuel sender access panel.
  5. Install the (7) nuts retaining the fuel sender access panel.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel sender access panel nuts to 10 N·m (8 lb ft)

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the trunk liner. Refer to Body Rear End Section.
  8. Install the spare tire, the jack, and the spare tire cover. Refer to Body Rear End Section.
  9. Install the negative battery cable.
