Removal Procedure
  1. For park brake shoe replacement with drum brakes Refer to Brake Shoe Replacement

    2. Object Number: 177182 Size: SH
  2. Remove the caliper bracket. Refer to Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement in Disc Brakes.
  3. Remove the rotor.Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement

    4. Object Number: 177188 Size: SH
  4. Remove the rear wheel hub. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement in Rear Suspension.
  5. Remove the parking brake actuator (5). Refer to Parking Brake Actuator Replacement .

    6. Object Number: 177182 Size: SH
  6. Remove the park brake shoe.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 177198 Size: SH

    Important: Ensure that the park brake shoe (1) engages the Park brake actuator .

  1. Install shoe and lining.
  2. Install the parking brake actuator. Refer to Parking Brake Actuator Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 177194 Size: SH
  3. Install the rear wheel hub. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement in Rear Suspension.
  4. Adjust the rear parking brake shoe. Refer to Park Brake Cable Service/Adjustment .
  5. Install the rotor.
  6. Install the caliper bracket. Refer to Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement in Disc Brakes.
