Ignition Switch Replacement - On Vehicle Floor Shift

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
2. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
3. Remove the steering column shrouds. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle .
4. Remove the ignition switch. Refer to Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

1. Install the ignition switch. Refer to Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle .
2. Install the steering column shrouds. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle .
3. Connect the battery negative cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.

Ignition Switch Replacement - On Vehicle Column Shift

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
2. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
3. Remove the steering column shrouds. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle .
4. Remove the ignition switch. Refer to Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

1. Install the ignition switch. Refer to Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle .
2. Install the steering column shrouds. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle .
3. Connect the battery negative cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
