J 25070 Heat Gun

1. Apply the heat to the molding using theJ 25070 to soften the adhesive tape.
2. Remove the roof molding, begin at one end using a small plastic flat-bladed tool and peel the molding away from the weld joint.
3. Carefully lift the molding away from the weld joint.



4. Remove all adhesive from body panel and back of the body side molding using 3M Scotch Brite molding adhesive remover disk 3M P/N 07501 or equivalent.
5. Clean the body panel using Varnish Makers and Painters (VMP) naphtha.

1. Remove five or six inches of the protective liner at the front edge of the molding.
2. Align and center the front edge of the molding with the front edge of the weld joint.
3. Use hand pressure to press the molding into place.
4. Continue to peel back the liner to center the molding and press into the joint.
