Air Distributor Duct Replacement for Buick Century 2003
Removal Procedure
- Remove the instrument panel trim pad. Refer to
Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
- Remove the center air
duct mounting screw.
- Remove the center air duct distribution.
- Remove the side air ducts
mounting screws and side air distribution ducts.
Installation Procedure
- Install the center air
distribution duct.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the center air distribution duct mounting screw.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).
- Install the right and
left side air distribution duct.
- Install the right and left side air distribution duct mounting
screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).
- Install the instrument panel. Refer to
Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
