Up/Down or In/Out Adjustment

    Important: The door side upper and lower hinge bolts must remain tight enough to retain door adjusted position

  1. Loosen the 13 mm door side upper and lower hinge bolts. Do not remove the bolts.
  2. Adjust the door up or down by repositioning the door as needed.
  3. Adjust the door in or out by repositioning the door as needed.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Tighten the 13 mm door side hinge bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the door side upper and lower hinge bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

Fore/Aft Adjustment

  1. Remove the front fender insulator in order to gain access to the body side hinge bolts. Refer to Front Fender Insulator Replacement in Body Front End.

  2. Object Number: 308350  Size: SH
  3. Loosen the 13 mm body side upper and lower hinge bolts (1).
  4. Do not remove the bolts (1).

  5. Loosen one 10 mm cone adjuster body side hinge bolt (3).
  6. Do not remove the bolt.

  7. Loosen the TORX® body side upper and lower hinge bolts (2).
  8. Do not remove the bolt.

  9. Adjust the door fore and aft by repositioning the door as needed.
  10. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   11. Tighten the TORX® body side upper and lower hinge bolts.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the TORX® head body side hinge bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  13. Tighten the 10 mm cone adjuster body side hinge bolt.
  14. Tighten
    Tighten the cone adjuster body side hinge bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  15. Tighten the 13 mm body side hinge bolts.
  16. Tighten
    Tighten the body side upper and lower hinge bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  17. Install the front fender insulator. Refer to Front Fender Insulator Replacement in Body Front End.
