Removal Procedure
- Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
- Loosen the 3 front door window regulator screws.
- Position the front door window regulator motor through the access opening in the inner door to gain access to the electrical connector and the front window regulator motor screws.
- Disconnect the front door window regulator motor electrical connector.
- Remove the front door window regulator motor screws.
- Remove the front door window regulator motor and bracket from the front door window regulator.
Important: The window regulator screws are seated into key slots in the inner door panel and is unnessessary to remove the screws completely from the window regulator motor.
Installation Procedure
- Position the front door window regulator motor and bracket to the front door window regulator.
- Install the front door window regulator motor screws.
- Connect the front door window regulator motor electrical connector.
- Position the front door window regulator motor inside the front door and install it into the key slots in the inner door panel.
- Hand tighten the front door window regulator screws.
- Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
