Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 594496  Size: SH
  3. Remove the screws (1) from the rear water trough.
  4. Rotate the trough toward the rear to remove it from the hold down.
  5. Remove the water trough.

  6. Object Number: 548076  Size: SH
  7. Remove the sunshade by bowing the sunshade in the center and pushing the sunshade to one side to allow the opposite side to be lifted out of the sunshade channel.

  8. Object Number: 548075  Size: SH
  9. Remove the sunshade from the sunroof module.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the sunshade to the sunroof module

  2. Object Number: 548076  Size: SH
  3. Insert one side into the guide channel on the sunroof module.
  4. Push the sunshade up so that it bows and the other side can be positioned into the opposite guide channel.
  5. Slide the sunshade forward and backward to check for smooth operation.

  6. Object Number: 594496  Size: SH
  7. Position the water trough in the hold downs and rotate it toward the front.
  8. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  9. Install the screws (1) on the rear water trough.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  11. Install the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement .
