Removal Procedure

    Important: Note the following locations:

       • The position of the wire harness routing.
       • The location of the tie-straps that secure the harness to the drive cable tube and the sunroof control module.

  1. Position the sunshade in the full forward position.
  2. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Remove the rear shelf. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  4. Cut the nylon tie straps on the sunroof control module and the drive cable tube.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the sunroof control module.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector to the body harness located under the rear shelf.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Sunroof Opening Position Switch.
  8. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sunroof actuator.
  9. Remove the tape holding the wire harness to the module.
  10. Remove the wire harness from the sunroof.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 647204 Size: SH
  1. Align the wire harness to the sunroof module.
  2. Connect the electrical connectors to the Sunroof Opening Position Switch.
  3. Connect the electrical connector to the body harness.
  4. Connect the electrical connector to the sunroof control module.
  5. Install new nylon tie straps to the control module and the drive cable tube.
  6. Install new tape to hold the wire harness to the module.
  7. Connect the electrical connector to the control switch.
  8. Check for proper operation of the sunroof.
  9. Install the rear shelf. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  10. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
