Rear Seat Armrest Replacement Folding

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 527407  Size: SH
  1. Fold down the rear seat back.
  2. Unhook the seat trim J-hook retainers at the bottom of the rear seat back.

  3. Object Number: 807744  Size: SH
  4. Pull back the seat trim to expose the rear seat armrest nuts.
  5. Remove the nuts from the rear seat armrest.

  6. Object Number: 527400  Size: SH
  7. Reposition the rear seat to the upright position.
  8. Remove the rear seat armrest from the seat.

  9. Object Number: 1282390  Size: SH
  10. Remove the armrest pivot screw (1) from the bracket (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1282390  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the armrest pivot screw.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Position the rear seat armrest to the rear seat back retainer slot.

  4. Object Number: 527400  Size: SH
  5. Install the rear seat armrest, pressing into place until the armrest studs are fully seated through the seat back.
  6. Fold down the rear seat back.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application.   9. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  10. Pull back the seat trim and refasten the J-hook retainers.
  11. Reposition the rear seat to the upright position.

Rear Seat Armrest Replacement Non-Folding

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fixed seat back with armrest. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 176229  Size: SH
  3. Remove the seat back armrest nuts.

  4. Object Number: 176227  Size: SH
  5. Remove the seat back armrest from the seat back.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat back armrest to the seat back.

  2. Object Number: 176229  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   3. Install the seat back armrest nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the seat back armrest nuts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  5. Install the fixed seat back with armrest. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement .
