When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.
Intermittent IPC inoperative (fuel gauge or PRNDL), engine no crank or start with the security light on, cannot remove the transaxle selector lever from the park position; or SES, ABS, or TCS warning lights on.
A customer complaint may be encountered of intermittent IPC inoperative (fuel gauge or PRNDL), intermittent engine no crank or start with the security light on, cannot remove the transaxle selector lever from the Park position; or SES, ABS, or TCS warning lights on. A technician may also find one or more DTC’s during his diagnosis such as but not limited to B1422, B2957, or B2958.
Inspecting the wire terminals in the Underhood Bussed Electrical Center (UBEC) C2 at pin C2, D2, E2, and F2 may show one or more are damaged. See example SI document numbers 831037 and 834887 detailing UBEC cavities. Further inspection may easily reveal a bent terminal tongue making poor or no contact. Replace the wire terminal with a new one found in the Terminal Repair Kit J-38125 or use service part 12110843.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
