Power Steering Return Hose Replacement 3.1L

1. Place a drain pan under the vehicle in order to catch any draining power steering fluid.
2. Remove the coolant reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement in Engine Cooling.



3. Remove the return hose from the power steering pump.
4. Remove the return hose from the retaining bracket on the engine.
5. Remove the return hose from the cooler pipe/hose.
6. Remove the return hose from the vehicle.

1. Install the power steering return hose to the cooler pipe/hose.



2. Install the return hose to the retaining bracket on the engine.
3. Install the return hose to the power steering pump.
4. Install the coolant reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement in Engine Cooling.
5. Fill the power steering system. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid .
6. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
7. Inspect the power steering system for leaks. Refer to Power Steering Fluid Leaks .
8. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
