GM Service Manual Online
For 1990-2009 cars only

Sometimes when a driver turns the vehicle in one direction, the vehicle will want to lead or pull in that direction. After turning in the other direction, the vehicle will want to lead or pull in that direction. This condition is known as memory steer.

Lead is the deviation of the vehicle from a straight path, on a level road, without hand pressure on the steering wheel. Refer to Radial Tire Lead/Pull Correction in Tires and Wheels.
