Check the C3 - C4 fuse for an open.

  1. Place transaxle in the PARK position.
  2. Turn ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Using a test lamp, connect by backprobing between the stop lamp switch connector C2 terminal A circuit 1439 and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Using a test lamp, connect by backprobing between the stop lamp switch connector C2 terminal B circuit 1135 and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Check for poor connection or open in circuit  1439. Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections In Wiring Systems.

Is there a poor connection or open in circuit 1439 ?

  1. Turn ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Disconnect the automatic transmission shift lock control actuator electrical connector.
  3. Turn ignition switch to the RUN position.
  4. Using a test lamp, connect between the automatic transmission shift lock control actuator connector terminal A circuit 1135 and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Using a test lamp, connect between the automatic transmission shift lock control actuator connector terminals A circuit 1135 and B circuit 434.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Disconnect the Park / Neutral Position switch connector C1.
  2. Using a test lamp, connect between the transaxle range switch connector C1 terminal D circuit 1050 and B+.

Does the test lamp illuminate?
