Inspect the fuse K1-K3 in the fuse block.

Replace the blower motor resistor. Refer to Blower Motor Resistor Replacement .

  1. Disconnect the blower motor resistor.
  2. Use a test light in order to backprobe between the blower motor resistor harness connector terminal G to ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 6

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Place the heater-A/C control in the VENT position.
  3. Place the blower switch in the IIIII position.
  4. Using a test light, backprobe between the blower motor resistor harness connector terminal F and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the HVAC control assembly connector C1.
  3. Inspect for a poor connection, an open, or a short to ground in circuit 52.

Is there a poor connection, an open or a short to ground in circuit 52?

Repair the fault in circuit 52.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the HVAC control assembly. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement .
