Inspect Fuse E5-E6 for a open.

Is Fuse E5-E6 open?

Using a test light, connect between the cigar lighter terminal A and ground.

Is the test light on?

Use a test light, connect between the cigar lighter terminals A and C.

Is the test light on?

Repair Short to ground in the Fuse Output-Battery Circuit.

Repair poor connection or open in ground in Fuse Output-Battery Circuit.

Replace the cigar lighter.

Push in cigar lighter into cigar lighter housing, all the way until it locks in place.

Does the cigar lighter pop out of the cigar lighter housing with its filament hot?
