Was the Instrument Cluster Diagnostic System Check performed?

  1. Connect a scan tool and enter into instrument cluster diagnostics.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Enter into special functions and WOW the instrument cluster on.

Does the Low Washer Fluid indicator illuminate?

Go to Step 3

  1. WOW the instrument cluster off.
  2. Disconnect the windshield washer solvent level switch connector.
  3. Turn ON the ignition switch.
  4. Short terminal A circuit 99 (BLK/WHT) to ground.

Does the Low Washer Fluid indicator illuminate?

Using a DMM on the ohms scale, measure the resistance of circuit 1450 (BLK) terminal B to ground.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 7

Locate and repair an open in circuit 99 (BLK/WHT).

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Locate and repair an open in circuit 1450 (BLK).

Replace the windshield washer solvent level switch. Refer to Windshield Washer Solvent Container Replacement .
