The body control module (BCM) provides a remote activation verification (RAV) feature. This feature supplies feedback to the operator on receipt and execution of certain keyless entry commands.
A remote unlock message received by the remote control door lock receiver will cause the body control module (BCM) to command certain functions, depending on the remote unlock verification mode. The BCM has the following 4 modes of operation for the remote unlock verification:
Mode | Action--Result |
---|---|
1 | No Unlock Verification |
2 | Horn Only |
3 | Headlamps Only |
4 | Horn and Headlamps |
For procedures on programming the different modes of operation, refer to Remote Activation Verification (RAV) Customization .
